Everyone I know is getting married...
My friend from school, my colleague at office, all my college friends (4), my friends friends (2)..everyone is getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, it doesn’t bother me or worry me one bit that I am not married..like all other things in my life, that too will happen in good time (at least my parents hope so!!)..
I have been questioning ‘marriage’ and its ‘sanctity’..yes yes, it’s holy..it’s a law.. its part of life..for many it becomes the sole pursuit in life also..typical hindi movie dialogue – “shaadi karke bacchaa paida karna hain aur phir unke bacchhe..”
I have been oscillating in my beliefs on marriage.. If I do find a ‘good’ guy, it’s a completely different issue.. Don’t think 8 qualities would describe my ‘ideal’ man, but, am looking for : funny, talkative, ‘open –minded’, good looking, gives me my space.. I guess that’s it.. Gosh!!! I cant even come up with 8!!!!!!!!!!! Its quite easy to please me, i guess..
Between you and me.. right now, all I want to do is go to Bombay.. There is great work waiting for me..Mumbai was never on my ‘dream’ list, but all of a sudden, it has become my destination..yes, I know..its crowded, its expensive, its noisy..but, its also where I might find what my heart desires..
P.S - If anyone from my family is reading this – I am serious about Mumbai..and about marriage – well, you know me better!!!!

End of the day, if not that, then something else.. :D
If it comes, am definitely gonna take it up!
P.S - believe it or not grey shades...its not the sedentary life thats driving me away..its better opportunities that are calling out to me!! :D
Hi,
I guess once in a while, when we stop looking at society and hindi movies and start introspecting, we all question the sanctity of marriage. We all marry because we are supposed to, but how many of us really believe in it? Am glad you thought about it. Best of luck for the Mumbai sojourn.
Thanks aneshwa for dropping by..
'Sanctity' on one side and 'living together for life' on one side..it always comes down to compatibility, isnt it? Sometimes its also about security, is it not?emotional/financial/other..
hey woman... u seem to be taking a approach-avoidance take on marriage..u freaking out abt the "HAVE" to get married factor as society demands it, just ask yourself do u really "want" to rite nw?coz my view is you can still have fun without tying the noose immdlty!!As for mumbai ...go for it..I mite just join u there!!
NOOOOOOO! I dont want to get married now... I am freaking out coz my friends(who happen to be my age)are getting married and I cant understand why! You know me better than to say that!!!
I was questioning the 'sanctity' of marriage - am not avoiding it-in our society, its an inevitable..but no harm in questioning the unquestioned, isnt it?
Come to Mumbhai!!!
Hmm... hope your dreams come true... :)
Marriage and Mumbai....well both start with the letter 'M' :)....cant say much abt marriage but can say sometin abt Mumbai..Its rocks....You can ask Shantaram if u wish....Shantaram and Shabbir..well again they have the letters "Sha" in common...
All the best
Shabbir
If Shantaram can survive, so can I..I believe u shabbir!
Thanks..will keep you posted..
you know how the sky is silent before the thunder - its something like that now.. :D
